Fukuoka is served by Fukuoka Airport, located 10 minutes by car from JR Hakata Station.

The airport actually serves over 22 international cities and  destinations with over 700 flights per week.

JR Hakata Station is the largest and busiest station in Kyushu Island.   The Tokaido・Sanyo Shinkansen bullet train provides a connection to majors cities in Japan

Unique Venue : Fukuoka Daimyo Garden City

Recently opened in 2023, Fukuoka Daimyo Garden City is Fukuoka's newest landmark featuring offices, the conference facility DAIMYO CONFERENCE, and commercial facilities along with Kyushu's first Ritz-Carlton luxury hotel, The Ritz-Carlton Fukuoka. Events using the large screen can be held on the 1,980㎡ artificial grass surface in he outdoor FDGC Park. Fukuoka Daimyo Garden City has everyting covered from accommodation conferences, to parties.

Unique  venue : The reception Hall Tomyoden

The reception Hall Tomyoden (managed by Ishikura Shuzo), located next to the shrine, had its grand opening in spring, 2023. This prestigious Reception Hall houses four banquets of different sizes, allowing it to function as a venue for a wide array of purposes such as conferences, exhibitions, and parties. This sophisticated brand new building in a historic location will make an already special day even more special.

Activity : Tea Kabuki Taste and Guess Cultural Tea experience

Tea Kabuki was introduced to Japan hundreds of years ago and started off as a sophisticated game for the aristocracy. Once you’ve played, you’ll understand why it was popular among the higher classes, as it requires a sensitive palette. In the game, players must  taste a tea an try to guess its flavor by matching it to a corresponding picture card.

The game uses Fukuoka’s specialty Yame Tea, and is hosted by popular Fukuokan tea expert Shoko Takenaka. This experience is a great way to get to know Japanese tea, and find out who has good attention to detail when it comes to different tastes.

Activity: Okawa Kumiko - Traditional Woodcraft Workshop

Kumiko is the traditional Japanese art of assembling geometric wood pattern without using nails. “Okawa Kumiko” refers to kumiko that has been made in the city of Okawa in Fukuoka Prefecture, using specific local techniques that have been passed down for over 300 years.

In this workshop, you will be guided by a member of the renowned woodworking Nitahara family. The Family owns the Kumiko Factory Nitahara Tategu and has been in the industry for over 70 years. They will walk you through the history and tradition of Odawa Kumiko, and offer an insight into how this traditional craft can be used in modern-day interior design, from folding screens and sliding doors to aesthetics light fixtures and modern furniture. participants can choose a shape before being given an Okawa Kumiko kit to craft their own Kumiko coaster.

Activity : Hakata Doll Making

Traditional Hakata dolls have been made in Fukuoka for over 400 years, and now you can personalize and paint your very own. Get to know Hakata’s history and culture by painting an unglazed ceramic doll that you can take home as a memento of your visit. You can also try your hand at painting a Hakata Koma spinning top, Hakata papier-mache and more.
