Kanazawa - Kenrokuen

Kanazawa – Kenrokuen

A lot of cherry blossoms in spring, early summer flowers, autumn leaves and the winter snow brings a different beautiful style to this famous garden in every season. Walk through the harmony courtyard which is decorated with a pool, bridges, fences and a tearoom. This place is filled with Kaga history.

Brimming with streets in ancient style, the Chaya Districts were registered as national Important Preservation Districts for Groups of traditional buildings in November 2001. In the soft nightglow, you may hear the sounds of the shamisen (a japanese three-stringed lute) together with a taiko drum through with the bright light of the teahouses lantern.

Chirihama Beach Drive

At the western shore of Noto Peninsula you can take the probably most unique ride on the beach with your car right along the water’s edge, the Chirihama Beach Drive at the western base of Noto Peninsula. The beach has a total length of about 8 km, filled with parking cars, so the people can enjoy the majestic Sea of Japan. The sunset into the sea is also a superb sight.


Heian Shrine

The Heian Shrine was built in 1895, year 28 in the Meiji period, to commemorate the 1100 anniversary of moving the capital to Heian. It has an area of ​​about 33,000 square meters and a marvellous courtyard (called Shinen), where each season the cherry blossoms, different kinds of lilies and more varities of flowers can be admired.


Gion

Gion

Gion is still filled with the traditional and elegant atmosphere of this ancient capital, where Maikos – with combs stucking in their japanese hairstyle, the downwards hanging tied belt (Obi) and the wooden clogs – walk through the historical streets. Be able to enjoy tea houses and restaurants in so called Machiya, the unique style of Kyotos wooden townhouses.

With a population of about 8.8 million Osaka is the third largest City in Japan and as a leader of the industrial revolution, it also gave birth to many new prominent industries. The so called capital of the west is very well known for his kitchen. So discover a lot of local dishes hidden in the backstreets of downtown and enjoy the taste of okonomiyaki, takoyaki and much more or take a walk through the plenty of attractions like the Osaka Castle, the Tsutenkaku or Umeda City.
