Tōshō-gū is dedicated to Tokugawa Ieyasu, the founder of the Tokugawa shogunate. Initially built in 1617, during the Edo period, while Ieyasu’s son Hidetada was shogun, it was enlarged during the time of the third shogun, Iemitsu. Ieyasu is enshrined here, and his remains are entombed here.
Kinugawa Onsen is known as the “okuzashiki” or “living room” of Tokyo. It became a major destination for those wanting to escape the noise and congestion of the city. The central area is home to several hotels and ryokan, most with their own hot springs. There are also a lot of entertainment facilities available.
The Dragon King Glen is located in the heart of Kinugawa Onsen, Japan. Dragon King Glen is quite popular among people who like hiking. This place is very scenic in term of landscape view which was formed 22 million years ago by lava.
Lake Kawaguchi is located in Fujikawaguchiko, southern Yamanashi Prefecture near Mount Fuji, Japan. It is the second largest of the Fuji Five Lakes in terms of surface area, and is located at the lowest elevation. It also has the longest shoreline of any of the Fuji Five Lakes. The area is a popular resort, with many lakeside hotels, windsurfing facilities, camp sites, and excursion boats.
Hakone used to be an important checkpoint to control traffic along the Tokaido, the highway which linked Tokyo with Kyoto during the feudal Edo Period. The checkpoint today appears true to its original form, including gates, fence, housing for officers and foot soldiers, a prison chamber and a lookout tower.
We will also visit Japans capital Tokyo, one of the most exciting tourist locations. Modern skyscrapers in Shinjuku, the Edo perioid tempel area Asakusa, electrical products shopping paradise Akihabara, Ginza where world famous shops concentrate and Odaiba are only a few of many popular attractions offered in Tokyo.
Tokyo Disney Resort® consists of two theme parks. Tokyo Disneyland, a “Magic Kingdom” park just like all the others, was the first Disney theme park to be built on non-U.S. territory. The park opened in April 1983 and was an instant success. Tokyo Disneyland’s sister park Tokyo DisneySea, which opened in September 2001, is an ocean-themed park exclusive to Japan.
